The Softball Ulster Annual General Meeting took place on Saturday 28th November 2020 and the club would like to congratulate Andrew Craven on his successful election as Chairperson of Softball Ulster. Andrew served for five years as the Secretary of Softball Ulster from 2015 to 2019 before stepping down to join the Softball Ireland Board in 2020.
Andrew’s commitment to the Softball Ireland Board will continue as he was also elected to the role of Softball Ulster Representative to the Softball Ireland Board in 2021, as well as ongoing membership of the Softball Ireland Medical Committee and chairing the Softball Ireland Slow Pitch Softball Development Working Group.
Following the SU AGM, Jonathan Craven was co-opted on to the Softball Ulster Council as the Chief Umpire, putting to good use his Umpire of the Year 2020 award! The club would like to congratulate him also on his recent appointment.
Founding member of the club, and club Treasurer, Timothy Rankin will also serve on the Softball Ulster Council in his second year as Treasurer. This rounds out Belfast Slider Softball Club’s most significant contribution to the Softball Ulster Council, showing our commitment to developing and promoting the game of softball on the island of Ireland.
