The shortened 2020 season is due to kick off this Sunday at Hydebank Playing Fields as the Belfast Sliders play the first of their double-headers, beginning with the Smokin’ Aces at 1pm and followed by the Bangor Bucs at 3pm.
COVID-19 has had a major impact on softball on the island of Ireland, but Softball Ulster has introduced a double-header format to allow each of the retiring five Ulster teams to play out a full season during the months of August and September.
